1. I think because now it is so much harder to get a good education and get a good enough job. 2. In the article, it says better grades lead to studying even after college. Better grades also say something about if you are going to continue on with college and graduate school.
3. It says that the stronger gender was the men. I think yes, it is a lot easier for men to get a job in today's world.
