12/5

1. You need to be able to support your argument with more than just your opinion. When you support your argument you have to have data so you can really argue about it.
2. So they know and so they can be aware. They need to be aware what your arguing.
3. My audience and who I'm trying to prove to is anyone that reads my essay or, just you, the teacher and my classmates.

1. I feel like they are really credible because surveys and polls are things coming from people so obviously, this means a lot. Surveys come from people and if you are using the surveys then you are doing something that needs the feedback.
2. I think the hardest thing in this whole argument unit is trying to find a hook that will actually work to argue with. The next thing that is also really hard for me is trying to find good ads.
3.  This ad,
it has to message as the perceived value. It also has a tone of voice because I'm guessing that they are showing aggression. This is also showing celeb appeal and it has a Rhetorical Question. Image result for ads

1. The ad I think was based on The unfinished claim. I say this because, they are saying that yachts are necessities in today's world, why?
2. I think the best claim that really would drag me in is, The Unique Claim. I say this because when they are comparing it to another thing, it really shows how much better it is. That really makes me want to buy it even more.
3. Messaging value really reassures you that you will love whatever your buying and that you'll really fall in love with the company and everything about it. Whereas branding value only reassures you that it won't break and it only regards things about just the one product.

Romeo and Juliet.

1. In Shakespeare's story about Romeo and Juliet, people often wonder if the love that Romeo and Juliet had was, True love, Romantic Love or compassionate love? They definitely had Romantic love, there was nothing true about it. True love, in any case, is that they feel the same. Juliet might of thought she was so in love with this Romeo character. All he wanted was her, not her good will. In an article, it states that "Even if Romeo and Juliet had not died, their marriage would have been much harder than each expected. Their “love” progresses so quickly in the play that they barely have time to learn about each other." I feel as if the age difference meant a lot.
2. True love honestly is the best, because, you feel so passionate about it. It feels so true, so pure. In romantic, I feel as if, the only thing that you think about is lust, and that you don't really feel the full and true feeling of love.
3.Romeo was way more smart with his emotions. He was not only older than her but he also had a lot more experience than her, and there no doubt about that. Even in the article, it states that "Though she didn’t wish ill on her lover, the authenticity of her love was limited by her inexperience, young age, vulnerability, and inclination to focus on her physical attraction with Romeo."

  1. Romeo and Juliet is a political story because there is a lot of mention about different political matters. The two of them can't just be happy because once again like I said, political matters come into play.
  2. Romeo and Juliet fit the structure of a strategy because they get married way too soon and they ignore the family feud that was currently going on which then, later on, brought a double suicide.
  3. Back then, going to the theater was a lot different because the theaters were a lot dirtier than nowadays. Back then, there were no lights, not even any microphones.

Teens more in love with IPhone's than ever. survey says.

  1. When you say that teens make two trips to restaurants for every one trip make to a gas station. That basically means to me, that, teens spend more time travelling than taking responsibility. Not that travelling is a bad thing or something, but I'm just saying teens need to start taking more caution.
  2. Teens do feel as if they are nothing like their crazy, embarrassing parents. In all reality, they know that they will be the same as their parents when they get their age. I know for a fact when my parents punish me I think, "Oh, I'm never going to yell at my kids the way my parents yell at me.." but I know that once I do have the power I will. In the text, it says, "Those bumptious, erratic, extreme beings who end up becoming just like us and blaming us for it." They're not lying.
  3. In the past years, teens have had a bit more spark than teens today. I think teens today think that fighting with someone is being rebellious. Way back in the 1900s kids didn't really cause as much trouble as there is now. Back then, it was all about drugs, sneaking out to hang out with friends. Now sneaking out is to find a way to meet up with your boyfriend or girlfriend and have sex. Personally I think now, there is just more trouble than ever.

  1. There is a certain extent that you go to for these types of events. In the article, it stated that one man yelled at an officer, "You don't get to murder us and get away with it!". I agree strongly with that. There shouldn't even have to be riots and protests like this. It does not matter what race the officer was. No shots should have ever been fired. Police officers panic and they abuse their power, I do agree with that. When they called in the National Guard I'm sure it was only to scare the protestors. I feel as if that is all they were called in for.
  2. When Martin Luther King Jr. protested he said: "that all men are created equal." That was such a big movement that will forever be remembered in history. Now, there is not one leader of the protests. These protests sometimes get out of hand but they are for a good reason. Maybe, they aren't as well organized, but they are for a very good reason. This website states that yes, Martin Luther King Jr.'s protests were very peaceful and organized: http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/2012/0115/Martin-Luther-King-Jr.-8-peaceful-protests-that-bolstered-civil-rights/Montgomery-bus-boycott-1955-56
  3. Yes, there are definitely two different groups. They are racially charged, they feel as if they have to protect their race and they are completely right for that, both of the groups.

Ted Talk.

  1. I am fourteen now, and I could not agree with anything more. Anne Frank was spot on about how I feel at this age. I feel like what she is saying could be relating to any fourteen-year-olds, we all think we know what we want. We all feel as if we are older than what we are. We feel as if we are more wiser than the wisest.
  2. I feel as if I would want to see it for myself. You don't learn until you try. I personally hate it when my parents tell what not to do. I feel as if I need to learn it for myself, If it comes out bad, then that is my fault. I have to learn fo myself.

Joshua Prager on this video really made me think about how much I really cherish life.

Personalities.

  1. According to the test, I am a "Campaigner". It states that a Campaigner is a free spirit, pretty accurate, it also says that they are the life of the party, we Campaigners also enjoy the social and emotional connections we have with people. The code was, ENFP-T. Oh, and by the way, Will Smith has the same personality type.
  2. Us Campaigners are always looking for a deeper meaning in things. Many other types of personalities find us irresistible. We realize that everyone should take time and express their feelings. Campaigners will spend a lot of time exploring social relationships, feelings and ideas before they find something that really feels true.
  3. Curious and overthinking things. Those two things really are what I do/what I am. Curious is the strength. I am very Curious, I'm always nosey. Everyone knows I am. Overthinking things being the weakness is spot on. I overthink things 90% of the time. Someone could not text me back and I'll rethink everything I said, seeing if I said anything wrong.
  4. There are so many different personalities not only in this classroom but, in the world. There is nothing you can do about different personalities. You have to cope with everyone's different preferences and opinions. You have to deal with all personalities, that is just part of life.

I got all this information from these links,

3 things you want to know about me.

  1. When I graduate I really want to go to Grand Valley State. The reason I want to go there is, they have a really good volleyball program and they are supposed to have a good medical program. I mean, they don't have the best volleyball college in Michigan or near Michigan but they are still very good.
  2. I want to go to college to be a dermatologist or special in something like that. I want to be hands on and help people.
  3. I really love volleyball if you haven't noticed. Volleyball keeps my mind off things and helps me work out my problems. It makes me very happy.
